About Me

Hello, my online name is Livia. I'm a homeschool and college graduate (history!). I'm the oldest of six (five girls*, no, not like the Bennets, we have a brother), I'm in my late twenties, and I'm a religious "none" (although I was raised in a Christian household and retain a Judeo-Christian worldview). I love making, reading, and learning.

I love the blog world. I've been inspired to read and knit more, I find all sorts of recommendations from bloggers, and I LOVE book discussions! I cannot remember exactly when I found the blogging world, but I know I started blogging as an online journal in 2010 (read: a few posts complaining about people) but never seriously blogged until perhaps a year later. I pretty much went straight into lifestyle blogging. Niches are not for me.

You can also find me on: GoodreadsPinterest, and Ravelry.

*For the sake of privacy and convenience I'll name them Travelgirl, Musicalmiss, Flowerchild, and Babysister.

  2. I am really enjoying reading your blog - especially the book reviews! Are there any other blogs that you follow where good literature is discussed? I'm always looking for new well-written books to read!

    1. Well, a lot of the blogs I read mention books. I am part of the Classics Club which has lists of books. Period Drama blogs such as Yet Another Period Drama Blog and Old-Fashioned Charm mention lots of Period Dramas which are based on literature. I usually have already heard of the classics. I have found some new books to try on Sew Technicolor and Dirt and Dickens (she has moved her blog but I think the archives are open) and Rachel Heffington's blogs. Sorry, I am too lazy to link, but you can look on my profile; I have my blog list shown. (that is how I have found blogs originally). I only follow a few books sites, and I don't usually get books from those.

    1. You're welcome. I think community college is the way to go both in terms of getting used to college . . . and not immediately going bankrupt.

  5. Hello! I am a homeschooler, who also prefers movies to T.V., but that could have something to do with me living in the country with hardly any service! :)
